Meet the Allegra Dress. Allegra is a high-neck, tweed mini dress featuring functional velvet buttons along the front. Allegra’s neckline, short sleeves and decorative front pockets are trimmed with a soft, black velvet.
The velvet buttons down the front are such a nice touch and they actually stay done up. Wore it to a dinner and got asked where it was from twice. The tweed has a bit of weight to it so it hangs properly instead of looking flimsy.
The velvet buttons feel substantial, not flimsy, and they add a nice vintage touch when I button them up. The tweed is structured enough to hold its shape all day, and I’ve already gotten compliments on the high neckline.
The high neck and those functional velvet buttons give it such a polished, vintage feel—I wore it to a dinner party and got stopped twice. The tweed fabric has a nice structure to it, not flimsy at all, so it holds its shape beautifully through the evening.
