The cherry print is even cuter in person and the fit-and-flare shape actually hits at a flattering spot on my 5'4" frame. The variegated smocking along the straps keeps everything in place without digging in, and I wore it straight from a nap to a dinner.
The smocking across the bodice stretches just enough that I forgot I was wearing it by hour three. Cherry print is tiny and crisp up close, not cartoonish like I feared. Only thing is the straps run a touch long on me, but nothing a quick pin couldn't fix.
I was nervous about the fit-and-flare shape, but the variegated smocking on the bodice makes it so forgiving and comfortable. The cherry red is even prettier in person, and the mini length hits just right for warmer days.
